Abstract

The new bridge on the Lek near Vianen has been a subject of a study into the consequences of the removal of a bottleneck in the Dutch motorway network. The effects of the opening of the bridge on auto and rail transport in the morning peak hour are studied. See also PB 24262. In the second part results of an interview held after the opening at commuters are presented and a number of shifts in modal split are mentioned.
