Abstract

The concept of a daily urban system is of prime importance to the urban and regional planning policy in the Netherlands. The travel behaviour within daily urban systems is well-documented. The daily travel behaviour between urban systems however, is not covered by empirical research. In this contribution first the development of the interurban homework trips between 17 urban areas is presented. Second, it provides the reader with an impression of the composition of these trips.
