Abstract

The complex of countermeasures including information regarding driving under influence, have a certain prevention. The information plays an important role to the knowledge of the alcohol related legislation of the public. It is, however, not possible to measure the exact effect of such campaigns. A decrease in the number of fatal accidents can be expected. The number of drivers under the influence of alcohol decreased as was shown in police controls. If the legislation and the information will have a lasting effect, a follow-up of the publicity campaign and a consequent police control are necessary.
