The (forced) ''branching" of regional buslines on urban public transport meets many problems. One fears that the number of passengers will decrease, because of the extra interchange. In 1984 such an integration-project has been executed in Rotterdam in the south-eastern area of Rijnmond. With the results of research before and after the alterations an analysis has been made of the changes in the amount of transportation demand, the traffic relations and the traffic behaviour and - motives. The results give a view in the consequences of the branching operation.
