Abstract

The traffic engineer occupies himself with planning, control and maintenance of the physical infrastructure of traffic. He bases his designs on scientifically founded knowledge of social and traffic problems, among others, that should be provided by those who study human behaviour. The research and the study on the sciences devoted to human behaviour, the so-called gamma sciences, must be integrated in traffic engineering.
