Abstract

This paper deals with the experience built up using the Scenario Explorer. The Scenario Explorer has now officially been in use for two years and the first experiments with this instrument in research projects are available. In the evaluation of these experiences attention has been paid to the methodology of the setting up of a scenario and the subjects for which thescenarios have been built. It can be concluded that the setting up of a scenario is a process which consits of several structured activities. The paper describes the cohesion and sequence of these activities. Apart from this it can be concluded that the building of scenarios can be best take place in a workshop-like environment. Two projects with a technologiocal background have been carried out and from these the conclusion can be drawn that the Scenario Explorer is very suitable for use in studies of innovations in existing technology.
