Abstract

The evolution in the geographical notion of the town, with its structure and relations, is reviewed. There has been an overall increase in municipal tasks and activities. The notion of condition appears to be the best practical, independent of scale. A description is given of the urban condition system, with complete or incomplete involvement, together with the organisation framework of the town. A municipal organisation framework is also described for those activities where a market condition exists, with demand and supply relations.
