The Netherlands Acoustical Society held a symposium on the supersonic boom, in which specialists presented their views. Many topics outside the normal acoustic scope were touched upon: The physics of the supersonic boom, Human reactions to sonic booms, Economic and operational aspects of sst, The competitive impact of Concorde, Implications and justification of the sst and Panel discussion.
