Abstract
Technical aspects of nine different tachographs are outlined. Difference is made for the approved N-tachograph and the accepted E-tachograph. An E-tachograph meets to the requirements of the European Community, while the N-tachograph meets the requirements of one country. The article is especially written for policemen when controlling the journey times of drivers of heavy vehicles, which are equipped with a tachograph.
