Abstract
In this paper it is shown that unsafety of mopeds and motorcyclists is much greater than that of other participants in traffic. Yet, factors ruling this high accidentrate are almost equal for both categories of participants. A short résumé of these factors is presented. Possibilities to increase safety of moped- and motorcycle-users seem little. Only influencing the use of these types of vehicles might have effect. It is stated that moped riders need a different approach compared to motorbike-users. Especially when taking their mobility into account.
