Abstract

The big increase of motorized traffic has enlarged the chance to get killed or injured in an accident. By this increasing lack of safety in traffic feelings of fear arise and in particular for children. They are mostly disadvantageous by their size and they miss the knowledge and experience of adults. Cycling children are even more susceptible for hazard because of their in-experience in cycling. Most accidents with cycling children occur on their way to school. The traffic education of children is a task for the school, their parents and the government.
