Abstract

Results of the calculation of the expected lack of traffic safety on the Dutch road network in 2010 with an unchanged policy are presented. A forecast is made for the different types of roads and the distribution of the number of motorvehicles on these types. Motorways with more than four traffic lanes have per unit of traffic production the lowest number of injury accidents. Traffic arteries inside built- up areas have the most injury accidents.
