Abstract

In this study the author examines some of the social and psychological characteristics of persons involved in road accidents, reviewing first some past investigations into the relationship of suicide, crimes of violence, alcoholism, illness and the psychopathology of the accident repeater, after which statistical evidence is considered on the relationship between road death rates and other indices of social pathology. Finally human aggression is discussed.
