Abstract

This study was undertaken to identify the portion of deaths on the road that were not caused by traffic accidents. It is demonstrated that a considerable number of cases, at first thought to be accidents, exhibited to be natural deaths, suicides or even killing offences. Close cooperation between the technical and forensic experts and their consultation in the first investigation at the accident site would be the best way to detect deaths on the road that are not traffic accidents.
