Abstract

The real-time congestion dissipation strategies for a class of large traffic networks have been studied. The networks are charaterized by single commodity flows, nodes of unlimited storage spaces, and directed and acyclic links of constrained capacity. A decentralized strategy is developed to minimize the total waiting cost and traversal cost for the flows.
