Abstract

Most drivers defensively to a degree. But accident statistics show that average defensive driving is not good enough. To improve a driver's ability to avoid accidents requires the development of knowledge, alertness and foresight in recognizing accident - producing situations when they appear, and in exercising the judgment and skill necessary to protect against those accident situations. The DDC Course includes specific direction on how to develop these skills and create new and improved driving habits through behavior modification by instructing drivers on how they can accept the responsibility of their driving actions.
