Abstract

For many years provisions for bicycles have been made in Holland. Sometimes in favour of the cyclist, sometimes to get rid of him from the road for the sake of more space for more traffic. This has led to unsafe situations for the cyclist in the town. For the present and desirable provisions the plan development entails four characteristics. Quality, quantity, continuity and comfort. Those four are set in the cycle plan of Delft.
