Abstract

The objective of EUROSCOPE is a demonstration and validation of advanced transport telematics systems in 9 user application sites across Europe, thus achieving a sustainable effect on urban mobility. The project comprises 51 applications within three work areas: Informed Traveller, Logistics Information and Communications Systems, and Network Management. In addition, a common platform for system architecture and validation has been established in two dedicated horizontal task forces. A substantial effort is included within the project to provide added value by sharing the experiences of the partner sites both among each other and with parties outside the consortium.
