Abstract
A demonstration project was set up to generate relevant measured data on the performance of promising engine-based exhaust cleaning technologies, i.e. lean-turn combustion, with or without exhaust gas recirculation. These data had to be measured on actual vehicles rather than on testbed engines. It is a.o. concluded that the use of engine technology alone is sufficient to meet NOx targets.
