The central station of the city of The Hague and the surrounding of this public transportation junction are a dynamic part of the centre. Here quite a number of urban, transport and traffic, green and economical projects are being carried out or prepared. To be able to give a proper respond to the complexity and dynamics and to elaborate high quality and efficient planning products, it is necessary to have targeted information at one's disposal and to communicate effectively. Also, the ability of all planning participants to think in terms of concepts and to balance public and private interests is of great advantage. The aim of this paper is to stimulate the exchange of information about the renewal of (main) renewal of (main) railway stations in (bigger) towns. Besides this, the paper focuses on the information demand which can be derived from the traffic planning practice. (A)
