Abstract

AZTech has formed a public-private partnership with TranSmart Technologies, Inc. and the American Trucking Associations Foundation (ATAF) in order to provide traveler information services for Commercial Vehicle Operations (CVO) in Arizona. This project will deploy a FleetOnline System for dissemination of real time traveler information, tailored to the needs and functioning of the CVO community. The system will provide congestion, incident occurrence/location, road construction information, and driving restrictions to carriers via several electronic modes, including Internet and wireless communication technologies. When completed, the system will provide information to commercial vehicle dispatchers and drivers, providing up-to-date information and advisories regarding roadway conditions, restrictions, and other necessary information.
