Abstract

In Denmark, case studies are based on fatal accidents because police reports relating to such accidents are very detailed and highly informative. The research team is made up of nine people of different backgrounds: traffic engineers, town planners, sociologists, psychologists, car inspectors etc. The summary report is in three sections: 1) what happened; 2) why did it happen; 3) how can it be prevented. a case study is described in detail.
