In-depth study of pedestrian accidents.

Abstract

A sample of 40 pedestrian accidents were investigated at the scene by multi-disciplinary teams in Australia. These accidents are reviewed and discussed in relation to characteristics of the pedestrians, the drivers and road and traffic factors, with emphasis on the possibilities for prevention.
