Abstract

It is necessary to study for a traffic safety campaign on communication at pedestrian crossings the objective data on the behaviour of the pedestrian and the drivers in near miss situations. From these data is shown that pedestrian crossings are accident prone conflict places. Critical situations arise at these crossings because of the fact that pedestrians and drivers do not pay attention to each other.
