Abstract

This especially applies to hypoglycemia awareness training, recognition of their hypoglycemic symptoms and intensive self-monitoring of blood glucose levels. There are new EU guidelines for driver's licenses. To determine the suitability of a diabetic person for road traffic, a medical evaluation is necessary. Insulin-treated diabetics should receive and observe the "Advice for Motorists under Insulin Treatment".
