Abstract

Part I of the study deals with the effects of individual socio-demographic factors on workday mobility as the fundamental determinant of the frequency of locomotion and trips of a person. Part II deals with the effects of individual and traffic system factors on the user's choice between public and individual transport. In order to describe the decisions of choice riders, a two dimensional model of behaviour, based on the theory of probability, is developed.
