Abstract

This paper discusses the techniques and tools used at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Research and Special Programs Administration's Transportation Systems Center (TSC) in processing film data. Comparisons of film and electronic data from an actual crash test are presented to verify the validity of data collected from film using currently available commercial techniques combined with software developed at TSC and NHTSA.
