Abstract

Two series of experiments are described in which reaction time is examined in relation to its context. In the first series the subjects were instructed to interrupt an intended reaction at a given signal. In the second series the reaction time was measured while the subjects were occupied with an unrelated task. The experiment-results are discussed in relation to the prevention of accidents.
