Abstract

The introduction of efficient and cost effective fiber reinforced plastic components on future generations of automobiles will depend on close working relations between design, manufacturing, materials and analytical engineers. A modified finite element analysis procedure appropriate for interaction with an automotive structural composite design program is discussed.
