Abstract

The manual is intended as a guide to developers in relation to standards and procedures in the submission of applications for the construction of estate roads. Discussed are: standards and geometric design (including carriageways, visibility requirements, footways, road equipment, garages and other parking provisions, and typical cross sections), estate road specifications including concrete, surface water drainage, carriageways construction, footway construction, verges and planted areas, street lighting, traffic signs and road markings, bridges and other highway structures.
