Abstract
Three or four years ago, interest in high mast lighting for certain street lighting applications was aroused. The interest generated caused a number of manufacturers of street lighting columns in this country to design and produce high masts. This paper sets out some of the problems and solutions involved in design and it is the intention that it may prove helpful to lighting engineers who require guidance on specification.
