Abstract

This Standard sets out the layout requirements for merge and diverge at grade separated junctions, and for weaving sections, at various levels of traffic flow. It sets out the requirements for both rural and urban trunk roads and motorways where local and regional routes join them. It supersedes TD 22/86. The accompanying Advice Note is TA 48/92 (see C 5727 (IRRD 856367).
