Abstract

The author gives general design principles for a main urban road network, and discusses in detail the general design of urban grade-separated intersections, in which he distinguishes intersections of urban motorways, interchanges at the end of an inter-urban motorway, multi-level intersections on urban motorways, incidence of traffic on construction and design, and viaducts.
