Detection of impaired drivers through measurement of speed and alignment.

Abstract

This study deals with roadside survey of impaireddrivers. I,460 drivers who passed through the observation sites veerestopeed and breath-tested-. These drivers veere selectedrandomly from the traffic flow once an interviewer was a-vailable. BAC and speed/,alignment data veere obtained, thelatter being measured by a pneumatic tube device. Resultsof the survey are presented and discuseed.
