Abstract

The cost of video signal processing is falling and cost-effective digital vision technology (DVT) is not being used in new traffic market applications. DVT systems were developed to detect and monitor pedestrians at dedicated or mixed signalled pedestrian crossings. AGD Systems has launched an innovative solution to the problem by using a digital vision chip and camera technology. Each product has a special software platform incorporated within it to give it the ability to be addressed remotely via a palm PC. This LIVEWIRE 1 capability and its advantages are described. For the covering abstract see ITRD E115762.
