Abstract

Head trauma and brain damage is commonly seen in victims of bicycle accidents. From a road safety point of view it would be very useful to introduce safety helmets. Planned health education programs will be essential for this introduction to be succesful. This article reports on a study to explore the determinants of (not) wearing bicycle safety helmets among children (7-13 years.)
