Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the most important determinants of personal injury road accidents as measured on an aggregate level, and to quantify the effect of each relevant explanatory factor. Using multivariate statistical estimation techniques an attempt is made to measure the partial effect of each explanatory factor on the expected number of accidents.
