Abstract

Since a long time, various methods based on statistical theory have been presented to permit the engineers to locate hazardous sections on road networks. This paper evaluates the rationale of the most common existing methods, which can be used to ensure the identification of black spots. Comparison and correlation of the results each method yields, is also attempted.
