Abstract

A description of a follow up analysis on the effect of bus dimensions and the number of seats on the economics of local transport is given. Results show that external conditions have a considerable effect on the selection of bus size. Cost apparently do not vary much with buses from 20-70 seating capacity. Minibuses (10 persons) could be more expensive. Experiences with minibuses in Washington and Hong Kong are briefly discussed.
