Abstract

TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 1954 contains 8 papers that explore transportation issues associated with developing countries. A representative sampling of some of the topics covered in this volume includes financing and conserving road networks in developing countries, the transportation impact on changing workplace–residence relationships in Beijing, strengthening the case for policy and strategy changes in road transport and traffic operations in China and India, effectively addressing emissions from motorized two-wheeled vehicles and other automotive sources in India, and a market analysis of the bicycle delivery service systems in Beijing.
