Abstract

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) developed the 5.8 GHz band wireless communication equipment which is standardized for Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) System in Japan. To minimize the size of the analog part, Microwave Hybrid Module for On-board Equipment (OBE) was developed. The minimization to a greater extent than the conventional method could be achieved. MHI also developed Roadside Antenna adopting the method of micro strip array antenna, which was tested using actual vehicles and satisfactory performance verified. (A*)
