Abstract

The authors present the architecture of a Customised Intelligent Traveller Information (CITI) platform, designed to deliver customised real-time and predictive travel related content. The platform is designed to deliver the customised and personalised travel related information, both directly and indirectly (through other value-add service providers) to consumers. They also discuss the technical issues considered in the design and implementation of the CITI platform, and suggest further enhancements to the design, based on the experience gained from an implementation. The CITI platform is a result of a research and development project undertaken by the Industrial Research Institute Swinburne in collaboration with CustomTraffic Pty Ltd.
