Abstract

The Oxford Road Accident Group (ORAG) is compiling an accident data base to study injury mechanism in road accidents and to explore the relationship between injuries and impact severities for car occupants. Accidents are investigated both on-scene and retrospectively. The paper reports the experience in applying crash to 200 accidents attended on scene, and a further 200 accidents investigated retrospectively by vehicle examination at garages.
