Abstract

The public education work has involved the development, production, dissemination and testing of T.V. spots, radio spots, print material and films. At least conceptually, all of this work was guided by a "model" of the process by which public education can be used to achieve pedestrian accident reduction. This model is presented followed by a brief discussion of the results produced by public education messages targeted for adults.
