Abstract

This is the second of three papers dealing with the development of comprehensive level of service criteria for the maintenance of traffic signals. An experiment is described which involved artificially delaying motorists at ten sites in the Sydney Metropolitan area in a similar fashion to a faulty detector, and recording the behaviour of motorists.
