Abstract

The Public Works Research Institute of the Ministry of Construction, Japan has developed road communication standards aimed at future national standardisation in this field to improve information mutually available between road administrators and to promote the introduction of ITS applications. These standards establish a data set between a message set and a data dictionary when the former is developed according to regulations of the latter. In this way it is expected to enhance the efficiency of ITS application development and to improve message universality and expandability within the future system. For the covering abstract see ITRD E114174.
