Abstract

This paper summarizes the work done by the Ohio State University Antenna Laboratory under the sponsorship of the U.S. Bureau of Public Roads and the Ohio Department of Highways. Briefly, a study is made of the human driver to determine his normal visual response. Then his function in an electronic warning system is determined. The system computation is specified by the driver's normal visual driving criteria- Finally such a system is implemented.Much research and engineering remains to be done, before such a system can be installed, but the indicating of feasibility and performance of the venture are optimistic.
