Abstract

This brief article describes the white taxi system managed by the friends of the handicapped association. Started in Tripoli in 1990, with three vehicles, the service has now been extended to all the North Leban areas. All vehicles are equipped with radiotelephones and are adapted to cater for the disabled. Income generated after the first year of operation covered the operating costs.
