Abstract

The authors present and explain a set of figures development to show the goals, methods, and status of Ford's headlamp evaluation research program. The purpose of the program is to develop a model in order to evaluate candidate headlight systems in terms of driver visual performance at night. The parameters for human vision capability are based on laboratory studies and need to be validated by field research.
