Abstract

Kwai Chung Road is a heavily trafficked dual four lane road providing the major point of entry to the world's third largest Container Port. A feasibility study was commissioned to investigate improvement to the operational capacity of the road corridor. This paper identifies the requirements for improvement, the significant constraints to development and discussed the procedure devised to obtain the best possible scheme options whose feasibility could subsequently be evaluated.
